Eight different players scored goals — including three that notched hat tricks — and the Leonardtown Raiders cruised to an 18-2 victory over the visiting Calvert Cavaliers in girls lacrosse action on Thursday.

Leonardtown (5-0) scored just 30 seconds into the game, and eventually led 10-0 before Calvert (2-2) finally broke through with 1 minute 52 seconds remaining in the opening half.

Leonardtown’s Katelyn Blondino, who scored a game-high four goals, completed her hat trick less than 10 minutes into the game. Loren Day and Taelar Errington both contributed three-goal efforts, as well, while Lauren Donovan, Krista Frowein and Christina Ferrara each scored twice.

In five games this season, Leonardtown has scored at least 18 goals every time out and has outscored its opposition 91-17.
