Calvert comes back to edge Huntingtown

Taylor Peed drove a 3-2 fastball over the left-center field fence to for a walk-off, three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning of Calvert’s 7-6 win over Huntingtown on Wednesday.

Peed’s one-out blast brought the Cavaliers back from a 6-4 deficit after Chris Gaines and Spencer Wolfe hit back-to-back solo jacks in the top of the ninth.

Frank Lanham, who recorded two outs after relieving Peed in the ninth, earned the win. Wolfe took the loss after working four innings of near-spotless relief.
