Hornets take SMAC tennis tourney

The Great Mills Hornets clinched the team trophy at the SMAC tennis tournament Saturday at North Point. Amongst the early champions at the tournament, Patuxent’s mixed doubles team of Cari Hopson and Justin Tabor dropped just six games over four matches to claim the conference championship. Taylor Ross and Marcus Cole of La Plata won the boys doubles draw without dropping a set.
