Huntingtown takes round two
The first time the Huntingtown Hurricanes met McDonough, the Hurricanes didn’t produce a base hit until the sixth inning and went on to lose 4-3. On Friday, they decided to start a little earlier.
Huntingtown scored three runs in the first inning, and went on to shut out the visiting Rams 8-0.
Every batter in Huntingtown’s lineup had at least one hit, with Jess Warner and Harley Hill leading the charge with identical 3 for 3 performances. Warner also scored three times, while Ayla Santos drove in three runs and Hill two.
Pitcher Madison Fears surrendered just two hits and three walks, while logging five strikeouts.
